To me, shopping independent means that my money is going into a community rather than an offshore bank account or shareholder’s pocket! It’s money well spent on a product made with love!

This Christmas, I’ll be looking at my Etsy favourites for present ideas as well as visiting my local independent shops to find the unexpected extras. My family loves to read so I’ll definitely be browsing in my local indie bookshop too.

My favourite thing about the Indie Art & Illustration Community is that it’s so supportive – we all know the realities of launching and maintaining your own business. That understanding is really refreshing as otherwise it would be very lonely!

Here are my 12 picks from the Indie Art & Illustration Fair, happening on Thursday 26th November from 7-9 pm.
