Round-up: Indie Biz Initiatives for Key Workers

🌈 I’m excited to start this awesome round-up with an Indie Roller offer!Β  Calling all key workers who are / want to start their own Indie Biz. I’m offering FIVE free Indie Roller 2020 Memberships. 🌈  Rosie Johnson Illustrates communitee T-shirts and NHS star pins include a contribution to the PPE crowdfunder. Rosie speaks very passionately about why this is important in the product descriptions showing us a photographic comparison of the kit available in the UK compared to the US and Italy.  Remember if you want to crowd fund to raise money for key workers that Crowdfunder have teamed up with Enterprise Nation to host campaigns with zero fees.

🌈  Zabby Allen and Daisy Hill have launched Project Pick-Me-Up via a Just Giving page to raise funds for treat boxes to be sent to nominated key workers. They say it’s ‘A hand-delivered box of feel-good things to make our key workers feel normal (if for a moment) and give them a boost.’Β  They have already reached their funding goal but they are looking for nominations to send those brilliant boxes to so please get in touch with them if you know someone who would benefit.

🌈  Vicky from Violet Paper Studio is offering free ‘Change of Date’ designs to any key worker who has had to postpone their wedding day. This design can be emailed out to their wedding guests to let them know the change in date/plans. Email: vicky@violetpaperstudio.com.

🌈  Since the lockdown started here in the UK there has been a 25% increase in calls to domestic abuse helplines. Fizz goes Pop has created a wonderful rainbow window hanging DIY kit where 10% of the sale will go to Welsh Women’s Aid who have written a brilliant safety and self-care guide for survivors during isolation here. The kits are currently sold out but will re-open again on 22nd April.

🌈 Dally and Mack is running a super fun giveaway on her Instagram feed where key workers can win a pair of her colourful earrings. Closes Friday 17th April. Enter HERE.

🌈  Lucy from CAKE by Lil’s Parlour is sending a brownie box to a key worker nominated by her social media followers for every 5 purchases.

🌈  Oh So Flamingo is making NHS acrylic pins and all funds raised will go to making comfort boxes for the staff of NHS hospitals dealing with Coronavirus. Rachel says: ‘They are our front line against this virus and this is the way we can show a little gratitude for their hard work.’Β 

🌈  Sweet Faraday has just launched a lovely giveaway on her Instagram and she says:Β  ‘If you know or are one of our utterly brilliant NHS heroes who could do with a little pick-me-up treat, then please put forward your nominations by tagging in the comments below and I will choose 3 to send a pair of my blue dinky heart sterling silver stud earrings to… along with some extra treats.’Β 

🌈 T & Belle have just launched a pre-order for their Key worker enamel pins where £1 of every sale will be donated to NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Appeal which supports our frontline NHS staff and volunteers who are risking everything to save lives.

🌈 Abbie from Slice Laser Studio has created a super fun mirror acrylic rainbows where 20% of all sales are going to a local charity for homeless and vulnerable adults – they’ve had to close their day centre so are sending out food packages and offering support over the phone instead. They’ve raised Β£500 so far in less than 48 hours!Β 

A huge thank you to all Indie Businesses out there doing their thing at the moment – the resilience, creativity and compassion is blowing my mind on a daily basis.
