Hiya!

I’m Aime. I make Handmade Linocut prints and cards.

I started my business at the beginning of February, after a decade of crippling perfectionism. I faced my demons and picked up a paintbrush for the first time last year and tried Linocut for the first time in December 2020.

I started by posting the first print I made online, which was terrifying. I posted it as a charity postcard that I would send out in exchange for charitable donations. 20 people took me up on the offer. That gave me the confidence to set up at Etsy. When I sold 10 prints in my first week I knew I was on to something.

Making things that make people smile is what keeps me going. I was tired of being overlooked in the 9-5 rat race and catty office politics. I want to work with intention and never compromise on my values.

What I really care about is kindness.

Women supporting women.

Girls feeling they can do anything.

The state of the planet.

When I was reading one of my many piles of books, I learnt that the education of women and girls not only improves the lives and opportunities of people around the globe, but is one of the most effective ways to tackle climate change.

So, that’s where a percentage of my profits will always go.

I’m so excited to be part of Indie Roller and look forward to meeting like minded people!
