Bevart designs

Indie Biz ownerBeverley Chapelhow

Hi my name is Beverley. I am a wife, mum, artist and teacher of all things Art related.
I am the founder of ‘Bevart designs’ and 'Atelier Arts'.

My Jewellery

I have combined my love of wood and it's tactile qualities with that of pure colour, resin and copper clay to hand make unique pendants, earrings, rings and cufflinks.
My jewellery range has a contemporary, yet, rustic feel. I am inspired by the Japanese philosophy of ‘Wabi-sabi’, and use this as a concept for some of my artwork and jewellery pieces. I embrace any small blemish and unintentional mark, because I believe they are an integral part of the art making process and the finished piece.
In my jewellery making, I use exotic hard woods such as, padauk, ebony and European oak.
I sometimes add gold and silver leaf for a bit of glitz and glam.
As the owner of Bevart designs, I hand make all the jewellery you see in my shop and each piece is totally unique, because no two pieces are the same.

My Art

I am also a fine artist and I own an art studio collective called 'Atelier Arts' located in Clitheroe, Lancashire. I paint and sell my Artwork in the small gallery area, and I also teach Art classes from our small teaching room. Additionally, my teaching career has led me to teach Art in Spain too... this is fab! This is a week long all inclusive Art retreat living in a cave.

Thankyou for stopping by,
