By Charlie’s Hand

Indie Biz ownerCharlotte Trimm

I’m Charlotte or Charlie, I’ll answer to both, and I am the hand behind By Charlie’s Hand bringing you joyful, rainbow filled papercut, digital art and products fuelled by tea, milk, one sugar ta.
I started papercutting in 2010 after I graduated from uni with a degree in Fine Art and couldn’t make large scale paintings anymore. I adore Rob Ryan and By Charlie’s Hand started on my parents kitchen table after finding a scalpel stashed in the cutlery drawer. I fell in love with cutting holes in paper and even though they were very wobbly to start with I got better at it!
I make everything in my little home studio in the house I share with my boyfriend affectionately referred to as ‘The Trucker’ on social media in the valleys of South Wales.
Alongside my original papercuts and I have loads of printed products including prints, stickers, a yearly calendar and postcards with plans to add more! I also offer a range of digital download colouring pages, papercutting templates, planners and activity packs from my Etsy shop and I’ve also ventured into clothing on Teemill and greeting cards on Thortful.
I’ve done collaborations with other Indie’s to create enamel pins, rubber stamps, embroidered works and I’m totally open to exploring more creative mind melding possibilities!
