I’m Alice, in 2012 I set up Flux Laser & CNC Studio in Glasgow. Beside me I have two team members, Joe & Hayley, and for almost ten years we have been Glasgow’s leading laser & CNC specialists. We’re problem solvers and enjoy the challenge of taking each material through the digital process.
We offer laser, vinyl & CNC cutting. We’ve made signs, product holders, pegboards, stencils, point of sale… pretty much anything you could cut from acrylic, plywood, MDF, paper, leather - as long as it’s non toxic we can probably give it a go!
As experts in the field we are more than happy to offer consultancy services; helping you to work through designs and create files suitable for Laser & CNC. We manufacture and design a range of products in-house, specialising in furniture, jewellery and home accessories.
We pride ourselves on quick turnaround and we are understanding of last-minute deadlines, our shelves are readily stocked with the most popular materials and thicknesses. Our friendly Parcelforce courier is on speed-dial making shipping nationally and internationally a breeze!
TECH SPEC
Our studio houses three laser machines; Russell, Sue & Justin. Vector cutting is the most common application of laser machines and with 0.01mm accuracy it is easy to understand why. The maximum sheet size we can cut by laser is 1200x900mm.
Russell, Sue & Justin are also excellent at engraving and, with a bit of input from the expert humans, we program the machines to a specific speed & power to accurately mark the material without cutting all the way through.
At the other end of the workshop our resident CNC router, Clara, can cut and engrave full sheet material (1200x2400mm) in thicknesses from 6-25mm, perfect for our favourite material; birch plywood.
