Lansdown Patterns is an indie sewing pattern company with a different viewpoint. The patterns are designed to be flexible for different sizes and figures, adaptable to fit your style and to help you to sew something that makes you feel great.

More about me -

I'm Rachel, owner and pattern maker of Lansdown Patterns, an indie sewing pattern company based in the UK.

I'm a costume maker for theatre, film and TV and wanted to use my years of experience making costumes for a wide variety of figures and styles to create patterns for people to make at home. The emphasis of the patterns is to give as many people as possible the tools to make clothes that fit them beautifully, are comfortable to wear, and make them feel great.

Each pattern is graded to 12 sizes, taking into account how proportions vary between smaller and larger bodies. They also feature different options to alter the pattern to suit your style and instructions for changing the fit to work even better for your body. I have incorporated more simple ways to adjust the fit as you're wearing it, such as drawstring waists and adjustable tabs (because who really is the exact same size every day?!).

The first two patterns, the Franklin Pinafore and Kirby Tops and Dress is out now and the pattern will be released in June 2021 as part of the Fri-YAY Surprise. My site is being added to all the time, with video tutorials and hack instructions coming soon.

Indie rollers can use code KEEPGOING for 15% off any of the patterns.
