Hi my name is June I’m the creator and face behind Osime Home. A colourful African inspired home and lifestyle accessories brand.
I create a vibrant collection of limited edition; cushion covers, storage pots, eco-friendly face masks and gifts in hand-picked African fabrics. Each of my designs add a little spice and personality to everyday living with a pop of colour and a touch of African style.
I love African textiles and I’m obsessed with colour, interiors and art. Osime pronounced OH-SIM-MEH translates as ‘This is my own’ in English, it is my Esan name (from Edo, Benin state Nigeria), one that resonates with me because it’s the greatest connection to my Nigerian heritage. It is synonymous with my culture, its warmth and vibrancy that always brings me joy. My journey into interior décor began when my husband and I bought our first home together in 2017. I struggled to find home décor that celebrated African design and products that reflected my community, the diverse textiles I knew and grew up with as a child. In April 2020, during the first national lockdown, Osime Home was founded as an online boutique to share my work with the world – Colourful Living, African Style!
