Hello, I'm Lindsay, the illustrator and designer behind Slinkeee Illustration and I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. You know, one of those annoying kids who would happily sit and colour in all day. Nothing has really changed there.
I live on the North East coast in Northumberland, about 16 miles north of Newcastle. My studio background is in the licensing industry where I worked for all the big brands including the one with 'that mouse'. I became self employed in 2003 and have freelanced for studios and agencies ever since. I've always created my own personal work alongside that and only recently started to create my own products. My illustration Etsy shop opened last summer and I've recently started selling on Thortful. Clothing is next on my list as well as a shop on my website.
I'm always learning new things and challenging myself to do things I think I can't do. The lettering quotes were my latest personal challenge. As much as I loved the banter of studio life, I really love being part of a growing community of talented creatives in Indie Roller.
I love colour and pattern, animals, nature and the outdoors. All the inspiration you will see in my work. Most of all, I just love to draw and I work on improving those skills every day. Use it or lose it right?
