Studio Ides

Indie Biz ownerKirsty McGeagh

Well hey there! My name is Kirsty and I am owner/designer/maker/Mum-duty-juggler and all round party-of-one over here at Studio Ides HQ. My mission is to create bold, joyful jewellery with the feel-good factor.

About my work -
I believe jewellery is for everyone and shouldn’t be thrown out with fashion trends. If it expresses your personality and makes you feel great you should wear it; whatever your age, gender identity or size.
Each piece is handmade from polymer clay and resin, in my home studio just outside of Glasgow. I take inspiration from many places although mostly nature, architecture and art & design movements. I combine these elements with my love of colour and pattern in every Studio Ides piece. I'm also a self-confessed Magpie, so often I can't resist adding a bit of glitter or sparkle to my work as well.

About me -
Having previously trained and worked in Interior Design as well as Film & TV, I started Studio Ides after a very short period in my life where I had a baby and lost my Dad within weeks of each other, before having an epiphany to start living my life the way I want to live it!
